In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Outstanding central location — Steps from Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and Campo de' Fiori, with many other sights within easy walking distance or a short bus ride from Termini.
  • Friendly and helpful staff — Guests repeatedly note the welcoming, multilingual reception team who go out of their way to assist.
  • Good value for money — Rooms start from £44 per night, and many guests feel the quality-to-price ratio is excellent, especially given the location.
  • Surprisingly quiet rooms — Despite being on a main street, the hotel's soundproofing keeps things peaceful, especially at night.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Inconsistent room quality — Rooms and cleanliness score only 7/10. Some guests report uncomfortable beds, small bathrooms, or dated furnishings.
  • Breakfast can be hit or miss — While many praise the spread, a few guests find it monotonous or poor in quality.
  • Restricted check-in window — Check-in is only available between 14:00 and 23:59, which may be inconvenient for early arrivals or late flights.

“The location in the city centre was perfect, with a market and shops nearby. The staff, especially the receptionists, were efficient and made everything great. We ate at a good restaurant serving Roman cuisine and saw the sights.”

“Great location close to taxis and within walking distance of all the tourist and historical sites.”

“Had a reasonably priced standard room with a balcony; the room also had a wake-up service.”

8.7Verified guest

“The hotel's location is very convenient for many of the main tourist sites. The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of variety, and the air conditioning was very effective.”

8.7Verified guest

“We stayed twice: three nights first, then one night before returning to Argentina. The location is excellent, a stone's throw from everything in Rome. The staff are very friendly, speaking English and Spanish. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and have plenty of storage. They are generous with amenities, and the bedding and towels are good quality. Some bathrooms have a small shower stall. Complimentary tea and coffee is available in the room and replenished daily. The second room had a terrace with a nice view, giving extra space. The breakfast area is pleasant with an Italian tavern atmosphere, and the breakfast itself is excellent – varied and complete, with eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, fruits, some vegetables, cereals, yoghurt, various breads and cakes, tea, coffee, and chocolate. I would come back without hesitation.”

“Historic design and character, a rooftop terrace for relaxation, and rich cultural surroundings.”
